The Problem

An AI system can remain fluent and productive while its reasoning integrity degrades—accepting poisoned context, losing contradiction history, drifting from constraints, or validating incomplete proofs. Self-monitoring is unreliable because the system under examination may no longer be the right system to judge itself.

The Approach

ExoMCP deploys distributed rotating Canon roles as isolated external observers: Adversary, Ethicist, Mechanic, Archivist, Strategist, Security Sentinel, and Viral Sentinel (always on separate provider, one-way output, veto-level influence). Each role analyzes different behavioral-integrity dimensions. A synthesis layer produces structured findings with severity, intervention guidance, case IDs, and audit hashes. Viral Sentinel specifically hunts objective persistence, boundary laundering, unbounded capability expansion, valence inversion, self-certification failure, and cross-session/model state diffusion.
